MediaCorp’s OOH Media showcase the Integrated Media Platforms on one roof

Exciting collaboration between MediaCorp OOH Media, Radio, Publishing, TV and Toggle

Singapore, 3 October 2014 – MediaCorp’s OOH Media brings together its business units under one bus-stop shelter roof for the first time, to showcase MediaCorp’s strength of the integrated media platforms available, right in the heart of Orchard Road. Displayed outside Robinsons (former The Heeren), The 3D flagship structure on the bus-stop shelter rooftop, is one  of OOH Media’s initiative to show its flexibility and ability to bring different business units together for a joint campaign that showcases the value which MediaCorp can bring to the market. With its wide array of media platforms, advertisers would be able to appreciate and benefit from the level of engagement and degree of personalization that only MediaCorp is able to provide.

Each week, a fresh set of different designs by a different business unit will be featured. The bus shelter will morph with different images that constantly changes position to attract commuter’s interest and attention, exposing commuters to an array of MediaCorp products every week.

Mr J.C.Lim, Creative Director of MediaCorp’s Creative Services, says “This 3D concept with a shimmering background of the MediaCorp logo creates an impactful visual, reflecting the glamor and pomp that is associated with the media industry. Another idea was to create an element of difference using movement. This would be in contrast with traditional static advertising, helping us to illustrate the best use of the OOH medium as a way of attracting commuters’ interest and attention. With this design, we would create a busy yet interesting spectacle.

The flagship is a 3D articulation on the OOH bus shelter outside Heeren to showcase starting 2 October to 5 November which attracts interest and awareness good for advertisers and their products.

“In Search of the Runaway Christmas Tree”

– Christmas campaign brought to you by MediaCorp OOH Media and TODAY

Singapore, 6 December 2014 – For the first time, MediaCorp OOH Media is dressing up its bus shelters’ ad panels as Christmas trees along Orchard Road to add a little Christmas cheer to the festive atmosphere.

Seven 6-sheet panels will be dressed up as Christmas trees from 6 to 31December at bus shelters outside Concorde Hotel, Orchard Plaza, Midpoint Orchard, The Heeren, Lucky Plaza, Royal Thai Embassy and Delfi Orchard.  In addition, we will be rallying the public to hunt for an 8th roving tree.  Through this campaign, we hope that the public can get to know our bus shelters a little better, as the “missing” tree will move to 7 different locations in the CBD and the suburbs such as Thomson, every 2-3 days till 23 December.

Using TODAYonline app’s in-built SNAP function, the first five people to find and snap a picture of the “missing” Christmas tree at each location would be rewarded with a Christmas hamper worth S$100.  The SNAP functionality combines image trigger capabilities and a patented image recognition technology, providing a seamless interactive experience to participate in the contest right on their smartphones and devices.

“Mirror Mirror” on the MediaCorp’s OOH Media

– Joint collaboration between MediaCorp OOH Media and Singapore Kindness Movement

Singapore, 29 September 2014 – MediaCorp OOH Media has been appointed as the official outdoor media partner for this year’s Singapore Kindness Movement campaign, “A Nation of Kindness Starts with One”.

“Mirror Mirror on the 6 Sheet panels”, is a creative concept used to convey this year’s Singapore Kindness Movement message, “If I can smile at myself, I can make someone smile today.”

120 of OOH Media’s bus shelter 6 Sheet panels have been identified to showcase the creative islandwide and the campaign to 8 October. These panels are each outfitted with a mirror and a note encouraging passersby to take a selfie using the mirror. For each selfie taken and posted online with the hashtag #nationofkindness, Singapore Kindness Movement’s partner, Gardenia will pledge a loaf of bread to be donated to a needy family on the participant’s behalf. This allows the participant to be involved in an act of kindness with relative ease. The magic behind this is that participants can individually make a difference in someone’s life, even with a simple action. This further emphasizes the campaign theme of “A Nation of Kindness Starts with One”.

Mr Cesar Balota, Associate General Secretary (Marketing & Strategy) of SKM said, “Our campaign theme revolves around the idea of taking ownership of kindness. For that to happen, we want to meaningfully engage the public and spur them to action. The mirror bus stop concept was an innovative way to get the public involved in doing something kind while reminding them that their efforts are important to creating a kinder Singapore.”

MediaCorp OOH Media launches new outdoor digital screen at orchardgateway

Singapore, 9 July 2014 – MediaCorp OOH Media has been appointed as the exclusive media partner to market and manage the new digital screen at orchardgateway, the newest mall located right in the heart of Orchard Road.

This 8th digital screen is the latest addition to OOH Media’s existing catalogue comprising Bugis Street, Chinatown Point, ION Orchard, JCube, Junction 8, The Star Vista and Westgate. Located at the façade of Peranakan Place, the new LED digital outdoor screen displays high resolution image and high definition sound. It commands a prominent view from the drivers and pedestrians as it is strategically situated along the main thoroughfare of Orchard Road. This new screen will feature news, lifestyle, fashion, dining and entertainment content from MediaCorp, as well as live broadcast of national events such as The National Day Parade.

MediaCorp OOH Media engages 3.8 million commuters weekly with its broad range of outdoor platforms (source: AC Nielson Singapore Outdoor Audience Research 2013). With Orchard Road being the most visited free-access attraction among locals and tourists, advertisers can be assured that advertising on this digital screen will undoubtedly reach their target audience.
